Tattoo

If you noticed on my bucket list, I had a tattoo listed. I have had a tiny fascination with tattoos for a few years now. I think they can be very artful and beautiful. Of course there are tattoos that can easily become outdated that people regret years later. Until just recently I had no clue what my tattoo would be; plus I was afraid of the pain.

Just recently decided on an Eiffel Tower. It's been 7 years since I've been to Paris. I think of going back to Paris every day. It is such a magical place to visit. I am getting a simple Eiffel Tower that I had Daniel sketch for me. I like how simple it will be. But I also like how the top of the tower isn't completed, just as my journey to Paris isn't finished. One afternoon he even sketched it at different angles and placements on my right shoulder to figure out the best place.

I am starting to get nervous, about the pain from the process; but that can't keep me from getting it. I know I will miss out on a lot of life if I keep saying no to the things that scare me.

Daniel will be going with me to hold my hand. My supervisor, Tina's boyfriend John, is the tattoo artist. Co-works of mine say he's got a lot of talent (pictures prove it too) and a gentle touch. Process shouldn't take more then 15 minutes. Afterwards I plan on meeting up with Jill for some ice cream!

I am getting this tattoo for myself. I am excited to show it off, to show how brave I can be! My birthday dress will show it off nicely. But it such an easy tattoo to cover up with just a tee shirt! Stay tuned for pictures of the event!

  1. You are absolutely right...you can't let fear stop you from experiencing life! I am learning that more and more as I get older.
