13 Days into January*

I can't believe we are already thirteen days into January. It has been cold in Southern California. We have done well not to turn on the heat in our apartment. It read 54 degrees in our place around noon today. It's definitely chilly to walk Bruce when walking in the shade or out to our cars. When I have to be at work at six in the morning I wear my gloves and scarf; but no coat. 

I am currently writing this at work, we have had an easy weekend at Newport Coast Villas, in comparison to the holidays and summer. Yesterday we had under 100 check ins, when we normally have close to 200. Although boring, it is definitely better than having call after call. 

I only have a few more days of work until I head to Indiana with Daniel on Thursday morning. We will be in Indy until Monday morning, from there we head to Florida. On Thursday evening I plan on spending the evening with my mom and sister at Purdue. Dinner is going to be Steak n Shake, but now that I think of it- I might like to have tenderloin at Route 66 diner owned by Triple XXX (famous for their root beer). We will also be stopping by the famous Harry's Chocolate Shop to have a drink before it gets crowded with Thirsty Thursday students. 

On Friday I will spend some time around Purdue with Ashley. She only has one class and that's not until the end of the day. Last time she showed me the underground student center where they were many cool places to eat and the bowling alley. She'll need to show me some other unique Purdue areas. 

In the evening I will be meeting up with Daniel along with his brother and sister, and their spouses to eat in Carmel at Divvy. None of us have ever been their, but it looks modern and fun! 

On Saturday I will spend the day with my family. We are hoping to go duck pin bowling at Fountain Square. Ashley's wrists are still too weak to go regular bowling. Dinner will be waiting for us when we get home- mom's using the crock pot for a roast! Afterwards I will be going to Jess's house for her birthday party where I will also get to see Alyssa and Brent! 

The usual Sunday morning church service at 11am will be the start of my morning. We haven't made any plans for Sunday except for having our one meal at Grey Brothers' Cafeteria. They make everything homemade!

On Monday we have to wake up at 5am to head to the airport. This weekend isn't going to be enough time with my family after all! Worst part is my mom has the Monday off. The good news is that we are not headed back to California just yet; our flight from Indy goes to Ft Myers, FL where Daniel's dad is living. We are going to spend two days at his place then on Wednesday head to Disneyworld!

Daniel and I spent our honeymoon at Disney World in June 2011. As great of a time we had in Disney World, it was way too hot and very crowded. So we are very much looking forward to getting to ride more rides. We even get to stay on property! (Although it's at their value resorts). We will be leaving from Orlando early on Saturday the 26 back to Orange County. During our vacation Bruce Wayne will be staying with Chelsea, a friend from work.

Daniel is back with BSH (Bosch Home Appliances) working on a video for their company. It will last him through the end of March, maybe sometime at the beginning of April! I'm enjoying my job more then I was, but I would like to try something else out. Maybe something in events/catering.
